Voice‑to‑email ♥ in your language.
One voice-dictation engine, a brand per language market, and a bandit that learns which prompt variant people actually rate well. Two fronts live today.
// the family
Pick your language
Each brand is a doorway into the same product — native language, native URL, native voice.
// what it does
Speak. Get a draft. Send.
A browser extension that lives inside your mailbox. No separate app, no copy-paste — the draft lands in the compose window you already have open.
Speak into your mailbox
Open a compose window in Gmail or Outlook and talk. Say it the way you would say it out loud — rambling, out of order, with corrections.
The engine writes the email
Speech is transcribed, then a language model turns the transcript into an actual email — greeting, structure, sign-off — in the language you spoke.
You review and send
The draft appears in the compose field. Edit it like any other draft. Rate it if it missed — that rating goes straight back into how the next one is written.
Runs on Chromium (Chrome, Edge) and Firefox, for Gmail and Outlook.
// the interesting part
The prompt is chosen, not written in stone
There is no single hand-tuned prompt behind the product. There is a pool of them, and an algorithm that keeps learning which one people actually keep.
Every prompt variant is an arm of a multi-armed bandit. Each one carries a pair of counters — a beta distribution — and on every generation the engine draws from each arm's distribution and uses the winner. That is Thompson sampling: variants that have been rated well get picked more often, variants that have never been tried still get their chance, and nothing has to be frozen into a fixed A/B split with a fixed horizon.
The reward signal is not a proxy. It is the rating the user gives the generated email — the thumbs in the compose window feed the same counters the sampler draws from. A prompt that produces emails people quietly delete loses weight on its own, without anyone reading a dashboard.
The same selection layer carries the parts that keep it honest in production:
- The model is sampled the same way, filtered by what the user's tier is allowed to use.
- A retry walks a chain that excludes variants already used on this request, so a failure never retries into the same wall.
- A circuit breaker drops models that are failing, so the bandit cannot keep exploring into an outage.
- Prompts and models are rows in a configuration store with a short-lived cache — adding a variant is a row, not a deploy.
Bandits degrade gracefully at low sample counts, which is exactly why this shape was chosen over fixed-horizon experiments: the product does not need a crowd before it can start improving.
// one engine, many doors
A brand per market, a codebase of one
“Dictate an email” sounds different in every language, so each market gets its own name, its own domain and its own tone. Underneath, that is not a fork: the brand, its language, its copy and its domain are entries in a single configuration registry, and the engine, extension and backend are one codebase serving all of them.
Two fronts are live today — Word2Mail in English and Dyktuj2Mail in Polish. The rest of the family is configuration waiting for a decision to open a market, not code waiting to be written. That is the whole point of the shape: the cost of the next language is a row and a translation, not a second product.
Each brand keeps its own privacy policy and terms on its own domain — see word2mail.com/privacy or dyktuj2mail.com/privacy.
// who built this
X2Mail was designed and built by Piotr Kucharski, an AI/ML engineer in Kraków — solo, by orchestrating AI agents and building the engineering discipline around them: deterministic quality gates, cross-session project memory, specialised agent roles, and a standing rule that a skipped check fails rather than passes.
He is currently looking for a full-time role.

X2Mail is the name for the whole family — one voice-to-email engine, one brand per language market. The engine is shared; the brand, the URL and the voice are native to the market they serve.
Speak into Gmail. Get a clean draft. Send. Same product, native doors — because “dictate an email” sounds different in every language. More language markets are planned as the family grows.
Built under aiformatics.eu, the own brand of Piotr Kucharski — AI made with ♥ in Europe.
